TEENS AND TOBACCO
The teenage years are a time of experimentation for teens, and many can be influenced into activities that are harmful to their health—including smoking.
Smoking or even chewing tobacco is bad for overall health, and it also causes damage to the teeth and gums. Remind your teen that in addition to stains, cancer of the mouth greatly increases as a result of using tobacco.
Talk with your teens of the dangers of smoking and encourage them to quit if they’ve already started.
