HELPFUL TEETHING TIPS

We know the teething phase can be a frustrating time for parents and babies, but in reality, the majority of babies move through this stage without difficulty. That said, when the back teeth erupt, it’s possible your baby may suffer from fevers, blood blisters, and ear aches, which can cause inner ear problems.

But don’t worry! You can help reduce any discomfort your baby feels when teething by allowing them to chew on something cold. You can also use over-the-counter children’s painkillers to alleviate some pain, but do NOT apply Aspirin directly to the gums—this can burn the tissue.

If your baby doesn’t respond to any of these suggestions, please contact our office to schedule an appointment.
